One of the most common questions during the COVID-19 pandemic is from people is should I be tested for the coronavirus?
We asked our 13 DOCTOR experts to put together advice for people who may be feeling unwell and not sure what to do.
If you develop symptoms:
If you begin to develop the following symptoms you should seek medical advice:
- Sore throat
- Runny nose
- Shortness of breath
If you have returned from an international trip:
If you have been overseas you must self-isolate for 14 days. If you develop symptoms after travelling and returning to Australia you should seek immediate medical advice regarding treatment and testing.
In contact with a confirmed COVID-19 case:
If you have recently come into close contact with a person known to have a confirmed case of COVID-19 (whether tested before, or after you contacted them), call ahead to your GP or hospital and seek testing.
